Job summary

East Staffordshire Family Support Service in East Staffordshire is seeking an ambitious Operations Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across the charity. You will drive high-quality service delivery, ensure governance, and support financial sustainability while guiding growth with the CEO and Trustee Board.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, manage staff and volunteers, lead funding bids, and build partnerships to extend impact for children, young people, and families

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of day-to-day operations in a charity setting.
• Experience safeguarding, governance, risk management.
• Strong financial, organisational, and project management skills.
• Track record in fundraising, grant applications, or income generation.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across all services.
• Manage staff, volunteers, performance and development.
• Ensure safeguarding compliance and governance.
• Monitor outcomes, KPIs and service impact.
• Oversee budgets and financial sustainability.
• Identify funding opportunities and lead bids.
• Develop partnerships and new service initiatives.
• Produce reports for Trustees and funders.
• Oversee marketing, website and social media.
• Maintain a visible presence in communities.
