Job summary

Aspire People are seeking experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Manchester. You will lead small-group interventions, support or deliver lessons under direction, and provide targeted help to raise pupil progress.

Ideal candidates hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent, with relevant UK-based school experience in the last two years. Roles may include daily supply, short-term cover and longer placements.

Qualifications

• Must have strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Experience leading learning activities or groups of pupils.
• Adequate safeguarding awareness and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead small-group interventions and structured learning activities.
• Support or deliver lessons under the school’s direction.
• Provide targeted support for pupils needing extra help.
• Support classroom routines and positive behaviour.
• Adapt activities to meet diverse learning needs.
• Monitor pupil engagement and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff.
• Take responsibility for classroom activities as needed.
