Job summary

Academics, an established Education Agency, are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work on a temporary, ongoing supply basis across a variety of welcoming primary schools throughout Worksop.

You will support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 within diverse school environments, deliver interventions, cover lessons when required, and help pupils make progress in a flexible local role.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or relevant Higher Level Teaching Assistant experience.
• Previous experience working within a primary school.
• Confidence supporting and managing whole classes.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum.
• Deliver planned lessons and activities where required.
• Provide whole-class cover in the absence of the teacher.
• Lead small group and intervention sessions.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
