Job summary

Teacher Active is seeking an experienced HLTA/Teaching Assistant to support primary schools across Worksop and surrounding areas. Roles range from day-to-day supply to longer-term placements, offering flexibility and ongoing opportunities.

Position involves leading lessons, supervising groups, and providing targeted support to pupils with diverse learning needs. Competitive pay and CPD options available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA or in a similar primary education role.
• Experience supporting children across the primary age range.
• Ability to lead lessons and small-group interventions.
• Strong classroom management and positive behaviour skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and pupil well-being.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with planned lessons.
• Deliver lessons and lead whole-class or small-group activities.
• Provide targeted intervention and 1:1 support.
• Take class responsibility in the teacher's absence.
• Create a positive learning environment and foster pupil confidence.
