Job summary

Academics is seeking a proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support primary school settings in Orpington and surrounding areas. You will assist with lessons, deliver targeted interventions, and cover classes when required.

The role requires flexible availability, strong behaviour management, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. You will work closely with teachers to ensure continuity of learning across different year groups.

Qualifications

• HLTA with proven primary school classroom support.
• Ability to deliver engaging activities and interventions.
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups.
• Cover classes and provide PPA cover.
• Work with teachers to ensure continuity of learning.
• Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment.
• Adapt quickly to different schools and year groups.
