Job summary

JD Gyms Chester is seeking a proactive Duty Manager to support daily operation of the club and uphold high standards for members and staff.

You will lead team members, manage opening/closing duties, and ensure safety checks are completed. The role requires flexibility across mornings, evenings and weekends and a commitment to delivering excellent member experiences in line with JD Gyms standards.

Qualifications

• Must be qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Experience leading or supporting colleagues in a leisure or customer-focused environment.
• Experience contributing to membership growth and commercial performance.
• Flexible working hours including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day operational running of the club, including opening and closing duties where required.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends, in line with business needs.
• Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks.
• Support the achievement of membership, revenue and commercial objectives.
• Identify and support opportunities to grow secondary revenue streams.
• Ensure the gym facility is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Support General Assistants in maintaining high cleanliness standards across all areas of the club.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards across the team in line with company expectations.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions.
• Help create a positive, supportive and engaging environment for colleagues and contracted personnel.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties, projects or meetings as required.
• Represent JD Gyms values and standards in all interactions with members and colleagues.
