Job summary

JD Gyms is seeking a Duty Manager to support the day-to-day operation of the club, uphold high standards, and ensure members receive a safe, welcoming and positive experience on every visit.

Working with the wider management team, you will drive membership and commercial objectives while keeping the club efficient, safe and aligned with JD Gyms brand standards. You will lead by example, coach colleagues, and help create a positive, engaging environment for both staff and members.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supporting colleagues in leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused environments.
• Proven ability to coach and develop team members and deliver excellent member service.
• Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Experience contributing to membership growth and commercial performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational running of the club, including opening/closing duties.
• Flexible hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standard and cleanliness across the club.
• Conduct safety checks and report defects to keep facilities safe.
• Support membership, revenue and commercial objectives.
• Identify opportunities to grow secondary revenue streams.
• Lead and support General Assistants; maintain professional appearance.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive interactions.
• Represent JD Gyms values in all interactions.
