Locum Ready is seeking a General Practice Nurse to support GP clinics across Settle. The role offers flexible sessional work with ad-hoc and regular bookings, focusing on routine treatment room activity and day-to-day clinical operations.

Responsibilities include wound care, immunisations (where trained), smear tests (if cytology-trained), chronic disease management, and documentation in digital systems. Requires NMC registration and DBS clearance; strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Strong treatment room competency and clinical skills.
• Excellent communication and patient care abilities.
• Ability to adapt to new practice environments quickly.
• Knowledge of common clinical systems is beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsabilités

• Providing routine nursing support across GP clinic settings.
• Conducting wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Administering routine immunisations and vaccinations (if trained).
• Completing smear tests if cytology-trained.
• Supporting chronic disease management and care plan activity.
• Undertaking NHS Health Checks where required.
• Documenting clinical information accurately in digital systems.
