Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a General Practice Nurse to support GP clinics in and around Neston with flexible sessional work. The role focuses on routine treatment room activity and day-to-day clinical operations.

You will join local primary care teams, provide wound care, injections, immunisations where trained, and contribute to chronic disease management while maintaining patient safety and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) with relevant primary care experience.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt to new practice environments quickly.
• Knowledge of common clinical systems beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Providing routine nursing support across GP clinic settings
• Conducting wound care, dressings and treatment room duties
• Administering routine immunisations and vaccinations (if trained)
• Completing smear tests if cytology-trained
• Supporting chronic disease management and care plan activity
• Undertaking NHS Health Checks where required
• Documenting clinical information accurately in digital systems
