Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a General Practice Nurse to support regional primary care services across Chapelhall. The role offers flexible sessional work within established GP clinics, ideal for nurses experienced in routine treatment room activity and everyday clinical operations.

You will assist local primary care teams with general nursing duties, wound care, immunisations (where trained), and management of chronic disease in well-organised settings.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) with primary care experience.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Knowledge of common clinical systems beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Providing routine nursing support across GP clinic settings.
• Conducting wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Administering routine immunisations and vaccinations (if trained).
• Completing smear tests if cytology-trained.
• Supporting chronic disease management and care plan activity.
• Undertaking NHS Health Checks where required.
• Documenting clinical information accurately in digital systems.
