Locum Ready is seeking a General Practice Nurse to support regional primary care services around Ilfracombe. This flexible, sessional role suits nurses experienced in treatment room activity and day-to-day clinical operations.

You will assist GP teams with routine nursing tasks, immunisations, wound care and chronic disease management, in well-organised clinics. DBS clearance is required and NHS systems familiarity is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) with relevant primary care experience.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt to new practice environments quickly.
• Knowledge of common clinical systems beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsabilités

• Providing routine nursing support across GP clinic settings.
• Conducting wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Administering routine immunisations and vaccinations (if trained).
• Completing smear tests if cytology-trained.
• Supporting chronic disease management and care plan activity.
• Undertaking NHS Health Checks where required.
• Documenting clinical information accurately in digital systems.
