Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a General Practice Nurse to support regional primary care services from Morningside Place. The role offers flexible, sessional work within GP clinics, ideal for nurses experienced in routine treatment room activity and supporting day-to-day clinical operations.

You will assist local primary care teams with general nursing responsibilities, clinical reviews and patient-facing procedures in well‑organised environments.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) with relevant primary care experience.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Providing routine nursing support across GP clinic settings.
• Conducting wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Administering routine immunisations and vaccinations (if trained).
• Completing smear tests if cytology-trained.
• Supporting chronic disease management and care plan activity.
• Undertaking NHS Health Checks where required.
• Documenting clinical information accurately in digital systems.
