Job summary

Locum Ready is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics in Verwood. You will perform routine clinical observations, assist with treatment room tasks, ECGs, and phlebotomy as needed, while supporting nursing teams and ensuring smooth patient flow.

The role requires DBS clearance, GP/NHS experience, strong communication skills and adaptability to various clinic environments. Flexible shifts and ongoing locum work across regional locations are available.

Qualifications

• Experience as Healthcare Assistant in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS required.

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine clinical observations.
• Supporting treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Performing ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assisting with phlebotomy where trained.
• Recording information accurately in clinical systems.
• Providing general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
