Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics in Pickering and surrounding areas. The role involves routine clinical observations, treatment room support, and patient-facing duties within GP settings.

You will contribute to safe patient care, perform ECGs and health checks, and assist with phlebotomy where trained, ensuring accurate record-keeping across clinical systems. Flexible shifts suited to short-term or ongoing work.

Qualifications

• Experience as Healthcare Assistant in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Able to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required or in place.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine clinical observations.
