Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics in Wotton Under Edge. The role involves routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general support within GP environments.

You will carry out observations, assist with clinical tasks, and help the day-to-day running of the clinic. Flexible clinic-based shifts include weekdays, evenings or weekends for short-term or ongoing work; prior HCA experience in GP or NHS settings is preferred, and an

• Experience as a HCAs in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Able to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine clinical observations.
• Support treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Perform ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy where trained.
• Record information accurately in clinical systems and aid nursing teams.
• Help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
