Job summary

National Milk Records (NMR) is seeking self-employed Milk Samplers for a part-time role based in Sturminster Newton / Mappowder. You will travel to farms across the countryside to collect milk samples from individual cows, supporting the dairy industry with essential testing and data insights.

The role offers flexible hours around milking times, with training provided on farm safety. You’ll work independently, organising samples and ensuring bio-security while visiting multiple farms throughout

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence and access to own transport.
• Organised and self-motivated individuals.
• Interest in farm life and dairy production.

Responsibilities

• Visit dairy farms to collect milk samples.
• Organise sample pots in numerical order to be sent to the Lab.
• Work directly with farmers and dairy herds.
• Follow farm bio-security procedures.
• Travelling between farms within the area.
