Job summary

National Milk Records is seeking a self-employed, part-time Milk Sampler to cover Bodmin and surrounding areas. You will visit farms to collect milk samples from individual cows, with payments based on a per-cow basis.

This role offers flexible hours and field-based work across the countryside. As a self-employed contractor, you’ll manage your own schedule, travel between farms, and ensure bio-security procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence and own transport.
• Organised and self-motivated.
• Interest in farm life and dairy production.

Responsibilities

• Visiting dairy farms to collect milk samples
• Organising sample pots in a numerical order to be sent to the Lab
• Working directly with farmers and dairy herds
• Following farm bio-security procedures
• Travelling between farms within the area
