Job summary

NMR (National Milk Records) is seeking self-employed Milk Samplers to join our field team in the Penrith & Carlisle area. You’ll visit dairy farms to collect milk samples from individual cows and organise sample pots for lab analysis while enjoying flexible, part-time hours.

This role is outdoors, travel-heavy and independent, with training provided on farm safety. You’ll work directly with farmers, follow bio-security procedures, and earn income based on herd size on a per-cow basis, with

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence and own transport.
• Organised and self-motivated individuals.
• An interest in farm life and dairy production.

Responsibilities

• Visiting dairy farms to collect milk samples.
• Organising sample pots in a numerical order to be sent to the Lab.
• Working directly with farmers and dairy herds.
• Following farm bio-security procedures.
• Travelling between farms within the area.
