Job summary

Protocol Education are working with welcoming primary schools across North Somerset to recruit caring EYFS Teaching Assistants starting from November. Flexible hours and long-term placements available, with support from dedicated consultants.

As an EYFS TA you will support children in classrooms, small groups and one-to-one, helping young learners with early literacy, maths and confidence through play. All applicants must have right to work in the UK and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in EYFS, nursery or similar settings.
• Patient, nurturing and positive attitude.
• Ability to support learning through play and structured activities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of children's individual needs, including SEND.
• Genuine passion for helping young children develop and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support children in the classroom, small groups and on a one-to-one basis.
• Assist with early literacy and maths through play.
• Create a positive, nurturing learning environment.
• Help children build confidence, independence and friendships.
