Job summary

GLF Schools is recruiting an EYFS Learning Assistant (Level 2) to join Southgate Primary School’s Early Years team. You will support high-quality EYFS teaching, build strong relationships with children and families, and help monitor progress through assessments.

The role focuses on nurturing development, encouraging curiosity and independence, and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment. Previous EYFS experience and safeguarding training are essential.

Qualifications

• EYFS knowledge and experience
• Level 2 Childcare qualification (Level 3 desirable)
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
• Experience in an EYFS setting
• Up-to-date safeguarding training
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality teaching and learning across the EYFS curriculum.
• Act as a key worker, building positive relationships with children and families.
• Encourage curiosity, independence and social development through engaging learning experiences.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for every child.
• Contribute to assessment and observations to monitor and celebrate progress.
