Job summary

GLF Schools invites applications for an EYFS Learning Assistant (Level 2) at Southgate Primary School. You will support early years learning, work with the EYFS Leader, and help create a nurturing environment where children can flourish.

We value safeguarding, teamwork, and strong communication. GCSE English/Maths and a Level 2 childcare qualification are essential, with Level 3 desirable. This role is term-time, 36.25 hours weekly, within a vibrant cluster of GLF schools.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
• Level 2 Childcare qualification (Level 3 desirable).
• Experience in an EYFS environment.
• Strong understanding of EYFS framework and child development.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality teaching and learning across the EYFS curriculum.
• Act as a key worker, building positive relationships with children and families.
• Encourage children's curiosity, independence, and social development through engaging learning experiences.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and supported.
• Contribute to assessment and observations to monitor and celebrate children's progress.
