Job summary

Southgate Primary School in Crawley is seeking a caring EYFS Learning Assistant (Level 2) to support our Early Years team, helping children play and learn in a nurturing environment. The role requires GCSE English and Maths, Level 2 Childcare, safeguarding training, and a passion for early years.

Start ASAP, term-time hours (36.25 per week) across 39 weeks. You will work with the EYFS Leader to build positive relationships with children and families, contribute to assessments, and help maintain

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Level 2 Childcare qualification required; Level 3 desirable.
• Experience in an EYFS setting is preferred.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality teaching and learning across the EYFS curriculum.
• Act as a key worker, building positive relationships with children and families.
• Encourage curiosity, independence and social development through engaging activities.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for all children.
• Contribute to assessment and observations to monitor progress.
