Job summary

Southgate Primary School is seeking a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Learning Assistant Level 2 to join their early years team. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children.

This position requires strong commitment to fostering children's learning through play, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being. The role offers opportunities for professional development and collaboration within a cluster of schools under GLF Schools.

Qualifications

Completion of a Level 2 childcare qualification (level 3 desirable).
Dedication and enthusiasm for children's learning and development.
Experience or training in safeguarding principles is essential.

Responsibilities

Support children's learning and development through play.
Ensure safety and well-being of the children.
Deliver high-quality learning experiences as a key worker.

Skills

General education including GCSE in English and Maths (Grade C or above)

Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage

Up to date safeguarding training

Southgate Primary School are seeking a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Learning Assistant Level 2 to join our early years team and help create a nurturing, engaging environment where every child can thrive.

Your Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development through play, ensuring their safety and well‑being, and making a meaningful difference in their early educational journey. Working closely with our EYFS Leader and team, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality learning experiences, supporting individual children as a key worker, and contributing to a positive and inclusive school community.

What we're looking for:

A good general education, including GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C or above).
Completion of a Level 2 childcare qualification (level 3 would be desirable but not essential)
Up to date safeguarding training
Good understanding of the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage
