Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible postal delivery drivers. You will deliver letters and parcels across your route, walking parts of the day and driving a Royal Mail van, with shifts varying.

Aimed at community service, you must have a full UK driving licence, be physically fit to walk 20,000 steps daily, and pass a driving assessment. Pay is rate-based with Day/Dawn/Early/Evening/Night shifts.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels on your route in all weather.
• Drive a Royal Mail van for parts of the route and ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure safe delivery and secure handling of election materials and restricted items.
