Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver for the Fort William Delivery Office. This temporary role involves delivering letters and parcels, driving a Royal Mail van, and staying active throughout the day. You’ll be the community’s face, ensuring timely and careful deliveries in all weather.

The position requires a full, manual UK licence with up to six points, and the stamina to walk long distances while loading and unloading items. Shifts vary, with potential for permanency.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, enter/exit the van and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so you must be adaptable and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your community on your route.
• Drive a Royal Mail delivery van and complete parts of the route on foot.
• Ensure safe delivery and handling of all items, including election materials as required.
