Job summary

Angard Recruitment supports Royal Mail in recruiting flexible, temporary postal delivery drivers. You will drive a Royal Mail van and deliver letters and packages across your local area, with portions of the route completed on foot.

The role requires a full UK manual driving licence, good physical fitness for daily walking, and the ability to adapt to varying shift patterns. A driving assessment is required on starting.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your community, driving a Royal Mail van and walking portions of your route.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including handling election materials and certain restricted items.
• Pass a driving assessment when you start.
