Job summary

Angard Recruitment in the United Kingdom is supporting Royal Mail to hire flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will be the face of the service, delivering letters and parcels across your round in all weather, balancing driving with walking to reach every destination.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, physical stamina for long walking days, and the ability to adapt to changing shifts. Training and roadside support are provided as you join a busy delivery network.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your route, ensuring safe handling and on-time delivery.
• Drive a Royal Mail delivery van and complete portions of your route on foot as required.
• Securely deliver all items, including election materials, in line with Royal Mail standards.
