Job summary

Mountain Healthcare is recruiting for a Flexible Administrator/Crisis Worker to support victims at the Sexual Assault Referral Centre. You will be the first point of contact, help prepare patients for forensic procedures and coordinate care pathways within a busy SARC setting.

The role requires empathy, safeguarding knowledge, and discretion. A UK driving licence and DBS checks are essential, with 12-hour shifts across a 7-day pattern and 24–36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supportive or customer-focused environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Children and Adults.
• Knowledge and understanding of Confidentiality.
• Female candidate only due to Sex Discrimination Act (genuine occupational qualification).
• UK driving license and access to a vehicle is required.
• Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required.
• Experience with individuals who may have complex needs and those who have experienced sexual assault/violence.
• Experience creating resources and using distraction techniques; project development and outreach.
• Training and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• 1st point of contact for service users.
• Administration and support for service users and their families, including preparing the patient and assisting in collecting forensic evidence.
• Support the SARC Manager with day-to-day running of the centre.
• Maintain high standard of DNA anti-contamination between forensics cases (cleaning).
• Assist patients and liaise with other agencies regarding the service user pathway.
• Assist with preparation, service user support and act as an advocate during their time at the SARC.
• Liaise with police, NHSE, ISVA and social services.
• Be a key player within the SARC team and wider company network.
