Mountain Healthcare is recruiting a Crisis Worker for the Northumbria SARCs in Gateshead. You will be the first point of contact for victims, assist in forensic processes, and support patients through the care pathway with strict confidentiality and care.

The role requires DBS and Police vetting, a UK driving licence, and the ability to work across multiple SARC locations. It emphasises compassionate, patient-centred care and teamwork within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 1st point of contact for service users.
• Assist in collecting forensic evidence and preparing patients.
• Maintain DNA anticontamination standards between cases.
• Liaise with agencies to manage patient pathways.
• Advocate for patients during SARC stay.
• Must have DBS and police vetting as required.

Responsibilities

• Be the first contact for service users and families.
• Prepare patients and assist with forensic evidence collection.
• Maintain strict DNA contamination controls between cases.
• Coordinate with other agencies on the service user pathway.
• Act as advocate for patients during their stay at SARC.
• Collaborate with the SARC team and wider network.
• Demonstrate IT competence and basic admin tasks.
