Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is seeking reliable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Sutton in Ashfield and surrounding areas. You will deliver pre-set work when the regular teacher is absent and help foster a positive learning environment.

Applicants should have strong communication skills, confidence managing groups of students, and a flexible, proactive approach. DBS Update Service or willingness to apply is required, with ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absences and cover assigned lessons.
• Deliver pre-set work and instructions provided by teaching staff.
• Maintain classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support students to stay on task and complete work.
• Report back to teaching staff on outcomes and any issues.
