Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd in London is actively recruiting Cover Supervisors for flexible daily and short-term placements across secondary schools. You’ll work across multiple settings, with placements that fit your availability and preferences.

Ideal candidates have experience with secondary students, a confident classroom presence and strong behaviour management. DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain one is preferred. Weekly PAYE payments and access to exclusive staff benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with secondary-aged students in schools.
• Confident classroom presence and strong behaviour management.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt to different subjects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible, reliable and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
• Support students with their learning and respond to questions where appropriate.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils during lessons.
