Principal Education is seeking motivated Cover Supervisors to work in Berkshire secondary schools on a flexible, day-by-day basis.

You will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared activities, support pupil behaviour, and help create a positive learning environment. DBS is preferred; UK right to work required; enhanced DBS or willingness to apply.

Great for those with youth work, coaching or teaching assistant experience who want varied hours and a manageable commute.

• Experience working with children or young people
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Flexible, reliable and able to adapt to different classroom settings
• Genuine interest in supporting young people's learning
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply
• Overseas police clearance if you have lived abroad for 6+ months within the last 5 years
• Based in Berkshire or a nearby area with a manageable commute

Mansioni

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring safety, discipline and engagement
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials or activities provided by teaching staff
• Support students with behavioural and learning needs
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
• Act as a positive role model, encouraging respect and teamwork
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behaviour incidents
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff and school leadership regarding any issues or successes during cover lessons
