Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Sutton-in-Ashfield and nearby areas. This role offers flexible hours across the academic year, both full-time and part-time, with day-to-day and long-term placements available.

You will deliver pre-set work, supervise classes in the absence of a regular teacher, and help maintain a positive learning environment. A degree or relevant qualification is preferred, with Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Confidence in managing groups of young people is essential.
• Flexible and proactive approach is needed to adapt to different schools and classes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absences and deliveries of pre-set work.
• Deliver lesson materials and instructions as provided by staff.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support students to stay on task and engaged with their work.
• Report back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and any issues.
