Job summary

Refresh Recruitment Limited is seeking a Nursery Practitioner in Writtle to deliver high‑quality early years education. You will plan engaging activities, support development, and maintain a safe, inclusive setting that nurtures every child.

The role requires a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years, a passion for young learners, and strong teamwork and communication skills. 40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Proven nursery experience or setting familiarity.
• Solid understanding of child development and EYFS principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities that support learning through play.
• Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for all children.
• Observe, assess and track development and progress of children.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Support daily nursery operations and maintain high standards of care.
• Follow EYFS framework in daily practice.
• Lead by example and promote best practice in early years education.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance learning experiences.
• Contribute ideas to improve the nursery environment.
