Job summary

Refresh Recruitment Limited is seeking a Nursery Practitioner in Torquay. The role requires a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years and involves delivering engaging activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive environment, and supporting EYFS-aligned development. 40 hours weekly, over 4 or 5 days, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will foster strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and contribute to high standards of care within the nursery setting.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong teamwork and organisational skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting young children's growth.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging educational activities that promote learning through play.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children.
• Observe, assess, and monitor children's development and progress.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the nursery and maintain high standards of care.
• Follow and implement the EYFS framework.
• Lead by example and demonstrate best practice in early years education.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support children's learning and development.
• Contribute ideas and initiatives to enhance the nursery environment and children's experiences.
