Job summary

Aberdeen City Council is recruiting for a permanent, full-time fleet maintenance role. The post holder will lead maintenance staff, ensure efficient service delivery, and drive improvements in performance and resource use.

A strong focus on communication and negotiation with diverse audiences is required. The role requires a time-served qualification in vehicle/plant maintenance, extensive fleet management experience, and a full UK driving licence (Category C preferred).

Qualifications

• Must be time served with a qualification in vehicle or plant maintenance or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of working with a Fleet Management system.
• Full UK Driving Licence; Category C (HGV) preferred.

• Lead and supervise maintenance teams to deliver improved service performance.
• Communicate clearly with diverse audiences and partners to negotiate and influence.
