Midlothian Council is recruiting a Team Leader - Fleet and Plant, based at Bonnyrigg Depot. The role focuses on fleet compliance, vehicle maintenance standards and the governance of our Fleet and Plant Workshops.

The successful candidate will bring transport management knowledge and workshop experience to ensure legal and operational responsibilities are met. The post supports operational management across workshops with hands-on technical oversight and effective prioritisation of workloads,

Formación

• Level 1 Disclosure Clearance is required for this role.
• Disclosure check fee is the candidate's responsibility; certificate must be available before commencement.
• SCQF Level 7 (HNC level or equivalent) or demonstrable relevant local authority experience.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee fleet compliance, governance and vehicle maintenance standards.
• Manage Fleet and Plant Workshops operations and workloads in the absence of the other Team Leader.
• Coordinate with drivers, managers, contractors and external suppliers to ensure effective service delivery.
• Support professional development and progression toward Transport Manager CPC where appropriate.
