MJ Quinn in South Wales is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee the safe, compliant, and efficient management of our transport operations across the region.

You will ensure Goods Vehicle Operator’s Licence compliance, vehicle maintenance, driver assessments, and fleet planning while fostering a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement. This permanent, full-time role includes a company vehicle and a 7:00am–3:00pm Monday to Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Transport manager CPC qualification.
• Level 3 Transport management qualification.
• Experience in a Transport Manager or Fleet Management role.
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation and Operator Licence compliance.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Proactive approach with focus on continuous improvement.

Responsabilités

• Manage and maintain compliance with the company’s Goods Vehicle Operator’s Licence.
• Ensure all vehicles, trailers and plant equipment remain roadworthy, compliant and available for operational requirements.
• Monitor and manage driver compliance, including licence checks and driver assessments.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, defect reporting and repair programmes.
• Conduct fleet audits and compliance reviews.
• Investigate vehicle incidents and manage corrective actions where required.
• Support fleet planning and vehicle utilisation across the region.
• Manage telematics systems and vehicle tracking data.
• Liaise with suppliers, maintenance providers and operational teams.
• Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety and compliance throughout the fleet operation.
