Job summary

JDR Recruitment is recruiting a Fleet & Maintenance Assistant for a Northern Ireland Civil Service assignment with DAERA at CAFRE Greenmount Campus, Antrim.

This practical role supports day-to-day operation and maintenance of CAFRE's vehicle fleet and the Machinery & Buildings Centre. The position requires a full Category B licence and level 2 qualifications, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 Diploma in Agriculture, Engineering or equivalent.
• Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE-equivalent) required.
• A full Category B driving licence is essential.
• Desirable: B+E towing entitlement for trailers.

Responsibilities

• Drive CAFRE vehicles to collect parts and transport students.
• Assist with day-to-day vehicle fleet maintenance.
• Clean buses and maintain the vehicle area.
• Arrange vehicle tests and related appointments.
• Deliver and collect vehicles for servicing and MOT testing.
• Support the Machinery & Buildings Centre with the Buildings Manager.
• Maintain basic records and follow standard procedures.

Education

Level 2 Diploma in Agriculture, Engineering or relevant equivalent

English/Literacy (Level 2/GCSE-equivalent)

Maths/Numeracy (Level 2/GCSE-equivalent)

Category B driving licence

Category B+E trailer entitlement (desirable)
