Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Fleet Maintenance Driver for our Randburg-based operations. You will drive company vehicles to service centers, perform basic on-site maintenance, and record inspections to keep the fleet roadworthy and efficient.

You should have a Code 10 license, a good understanding of vehicle mechanics, and the ability to work independently with high attention to detail. This permanent role offers training and opportunities within the fleet management team.

Qualifications

• Experience driving fleet vehicles and performing basic maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document inspections accurately.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to and from service centers for routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document findings.
• Identify and report mechanical issues to the fleet manager.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness at all times.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and service appointments.
• Assist in coordinating servicing schedules to minimize downtime.
• Operate various vehicle types as required by the fleet.
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety policies.
• Provide feedback on vehicle performance and maintenance needs.
