Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a versatile Facilities Maintenance Technician to manage upkeep and repair of building systems at its Randburg premises. You will perform routine inspections across electrical, plumbing and HVAC, respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety and compliance with local codes.

The role requires broad technical skills, a proactive approach, and a valid driving license for off-site tasks in Gauteng.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Technician or in a similar trade role.
Broad knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret technical manuals.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Must hold a valid driver's license for potential off-site tasks within Gauteng.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Respond to and resolve maintenance requests and emergency repair needs promptly.
Troubleshoot and repair issues related to building infrastructure and equipment.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and building codes.
Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance work performed.
Assist with minor installations and modifications to building systems as required.
