Job summary

Pertemps on behalf of Royal Mail is hiring a Fleet Administrator in Chesterfield. Hybrid pattern with 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.

You will coordinate vehicle maintenance bookings, update records in M5, and liaise with workshops, drivers and controllers to keep Royal Mail’s fleet roadworthy and moving. The role emphasizes strong IT skills, good organisation, and the ability to handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet/transport/logistics or vehicle maintenance is advantageous.
• Strong IT and database skills with MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and work accurately.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and repair bookings across Royal Mail workshops and external providers.
• Record and update booking information in M5 and other systems.
• Liaise with workshops, operators and internal teams to arrange appointments promptly.
• Maintain records and meet required timescales; support the Fleet External Maintenance Team.
• Help keep Vehicle Off Road (VOR) levels as low as possible.
