Job summary

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service is seeking a dedicated data administrator to join the Fleet Resource and Support Team in Chichester. This full-time position will involve recording and storing data on vehicles and equipment, creating maintenance events, and tracking costs to support efficient operations.

The post is permanent, 37 hours per week, with regular base attendance and occasional remote work. A valid UK driving licence is essential; interview week is 21 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate data handling.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage vehicle schedules, service records and fuel statements.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely recording of data related to vehicles and equipment, including maintenance events and costs.
• Manage vehicle compliance documents and assess 'whole life' vehicle costs.
• Communicate with stakeholders to supply required data and paperwork (compliance, safety checks, fuel statements).
