Nationwide Platforms Ltd. is seeking a General Manager for our Bristol depot to lead a flagship operation, drive profitability and develop leadership across the site.

You'll oversee a multi-department operation, manage budgets, and align fleet, customer service and commercial goals with a focus on safety and service excellence. This is a high-impact role requiring strategic oversight and people leadership in a busy, customer-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a sizeable depot, operational business unit, logistics operation or similar customer-facing environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and business performance.
• Experience leading through managers and developing future leaders.
• Passion for continuous improvement and improving operational performance.
• Ability to balance customer expectations, operational delivery and commercial outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading a flagship depot operation and delivering outstanding operational performance.
• Taking ownership of depot profitability, budgets and year-on-year performance improvement.
• Leading and developing a team of department heads to create high-performing teams.
• Ensuring all departments work together to fulfil customer requirements and deliver excellent service.
• Driving a customer-first culture and ensuring customers remain at the heart of everything we do.
• Optimising fleet utilisation, resource planning and operational productivity.
• Using data and KPIs to drive informed decision-making and performance improvement.
• Championing continuous improvement across processes, productivity and customer service.
