Job summary
The Gym Group is seeking a Fitness Manager at Sutton Coldfield to support the General Manager in running the gym, while embodying our values and culture. You will lead the fitness team, develop class timetables, and drive member engagement in a fast-paced, budget-friendly gym environment.
You will be responsible for operations, safety checks, admin tasks, and may PT during hours to earn your earnings, with flex contracts available.
Qualifications
- Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification or studying for it.
- Demonstrated leadership of gym teams and role modelling values.
- Strong customer service orientation and member engagement focus.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety policies and daily checks.
Responsibilities
- Lead member engagement to boost satisfaction scores during gym visits.
- Line manage and motivate fitness trainers to perform at their best.
- Own the Group Exercise timetable and upskill the team to deliver sessions.
- Drive gym performance with a results‑driven mindset on commercial outcomes.
- Maintain high site standards; manage cleaning, maintenance and 3rd‑party suppliers.
- Ensure full compliance to Health & Safety policies with regular checks.
- Support GM with rotas, time tracking and security checks on site.
- Act as keyholder for emergencies and liaison with the GM.
- Occasionally run personal training sessions during employed hours and keep 100% of earnings.
