Job summary

The Gym Group is seeking a Fitness Manager to support the General Manager and help run the location’s operations with a strong focus on member experience and team leadership.

You will lead our trainers, develop the group exercise timetable and uphold health and safety standards while pursuing commercial goals for the gym. The role offers flexibility and a path to personal earnings alongside the posted hours.

Qualifications

• Experience leading gym teams and driving member experience.
• Ability to manage rosters, time tracking and site operations.
• Proven track record in achieving service and safety standards.
• Willing to study/hold Level 2 Fitness Instructor certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-gym service to drive member satisfaction.
• Line management and leadership of fitness trainers.
• Motivate the team to perform at their best.
• Role model the gym’s values.
• Own group exercise by developing timetable and upskilling staff.
• Drive commercial performance of the gym.
• Maintain high on-site standards through cleaning and maintenance checks.
• Liaise with 3rd party suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and regular checks.
• Assist GM with on-site admin tasks and rotas.
• Act as a keyholder for emergencies.
• Potential to PT around employed hours and retain earnings.
