Job summary

The Gym Group in Gillingham is seeking a Fitness Manager to support the General Manager and deputise in their absence. You will lead our in-gym service, engage members, manage a team of fitness trainers and develop the class timetable.

You will champion our values, drive commercial performance, ensure health and safety standards, and handle on-site admin tasks. There is potential to PT during employed hours with earnings retained.

Qualifications

• Experience leading gym teams.
• Ability to motivate staff and foster a positive member experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead member engagement with in-gym service to drive satisfaction.
• Line manage fitness trainers and motivate them to perform at their best.
• Develop and own the gym class timetable and upskill staff to deliver sessions.
• Drive commercial performance while maintaining high on-site standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety policies and routine checks.
• Support the General Manager with rota, time tracking and security tasks; act as keyholder.
