Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Level 3 Cover Supervisor to work in Fishguard. You will deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher, supervise pupils across year groups, and maintain a calm, productive classroom environment. You will confidently manage behaviour and support pupils to stay engaged with learning.

This role is term-time only, offering flexible or full-time work with competitive weekly PAYE pay and additional benefits through a supportive school partnership.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Education, Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a relevant subject.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience in a secondary school environment is desirable.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, adaptable, and proactive approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher.
• Supervise pupils across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Maintain a calm, positive, and productive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Support pupils with their learning and encourage positive engagement.
• Build strong professional relationships with pupils and school staff.
