Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Pembrokeshire during term-time. You will deliver pre-set work when teachers are absent and help maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.

Applicants should be confident managing groups, with strong communication and behaviour management. DBS on Update Service preferred or willingness to obtain one; flexible or full-time opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Confident in managing groups of pupils in a classroom.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Calm, professional and adaptable approach.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively
• Support pupils to stay engaged with their learning
• Work across a variety of subjects and year groups
• Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
• Adapt to different schools and classroom settings
