Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Level 3 Cover Supervisors to work in a partnership secondary school in Fishguard. This role offers flexible or full-time work within supportive school environments across Wales.

Deliver lessons in the absence of the class teacher, supervise pupils, and maintain a productive classroom. Strong communication, behaviour management, and DBS checks are essential; an enhanced DBS via Update Service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Education, Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a relevant subject.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience in a secondary school environment is desirable.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, adaptable and proactive approach; Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lessons and activities in the absence of the class teacher.
• Supervise pupils across subjects and year groups.
• Maintain a calm, positive, productive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Support pupils with their learning and engagement.
• Build professional relationships with pupils and school staff.
